About Me
I don’t have a clever story about how I got into web design when I was 11 years old and built my first HTML page on Geocities. I originally went to the University of Cincinnati to study sound design but realized that it wasn’t for me. Eventually I ended up taking more classes in web design, graphic design and motion design. After 3 design internships I fell in love with the field and have been making websites ever since then. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Electronic Media in December of 2008 and am currently living and working in Chicago, Illinois.
Some of my interests outside of the technological world include cycling, snowboarding, soccer, sailing and pretty much anything outdoors, not including Playstation 3. I also like Liverpool Football Club and the Chicago Blackhawks and try catch as many games as I can. I also spend my free time volunteering at the American Ukrainian Youth Association of Chicago where I'm the branch secretary and graphic designer. I do not like spiders or anything pumpkin flavored.

Web Design & Front-End Development
Ever since taking my first class in HTML, web design has been my passion. I love designing websites and writing code and just about everything else related to the web. I have about 6 years of experience with web design under my belt and am skilled in (x)HTML, CSS, Javascript, Actionscript 2.0, XML and Wordpress. I also have a basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL and am learning the basics of HTML5, CSS3 and mobile web and application design in my free time. In addition to those languages I'm also skilled with Adobe Creative Suite programs including Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver and Illustrator
Graphic Design
Over the past fews years I became more and more interested in graphic design and took it upon myself to learn as much as possible through tutorials, internships and other designers. Using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign I've designed concert posters, magazine covers and layouts, fliers and an album cover, in addition to creating graphics and layouts for the web. You can find my graphic work on my Flickr page, where I have a few images of artwork that I've created in the past.
Other Services
In addition to web design, front-end development and graphic design I'm also skilled with motion graphics and animation using Adobe After Effects and Flash. In the past I have designed and animated several motion graphics pieces for the web, video projects and live events. I'm also comfortable with producing short videos for the web using high definition video and Apple Final Cut Pro and have created several short videos in the past.
